A photo of our washing line, pegs and all.
When I was growing up, I often felt that there was something incredibly Irish about the ‘clothes line‘ and ‘pegs‘. Something rural and traditional about the hanging of wet sheets and trousers, socks and other assorted items of apparel to dry naturally.
In the Winter, the poor line sees no use at all. Strong winds and low temperatures are ill-suited to the drying of clothes in open air. Though I do have fond memories of a pair of frozen Thomas the Tank Engine socks…
Anyway! Hope you all like the photo!
