For today’s photo, I decided to try to shoot an old adversary of mine. The skylight in my bathroom has always proved difficult to shoot, especially on a nice day such as this. Fortunately: sky in focus, frame out of focus, boom.
One of the first things you learn in photography is that a frame within a frame is your best friend. This includes naturally occurring frames such as rock arches or ancient doorways. A frame within a frame is an easy way to make your photo much more interesting.
A frame within a frame coupled with a clear depth of field often leads to beautiful photographs. I can’t say the below photo is spectacular but I love naturally occurring gradients. You can see the white-blue turn into a darker blue in the top right corner of the photo.
As always, enjoy today’s photo everyone!
