For todays photo, I decided to revisit flowers to work on my macro skills a bit more. I was so happy with yesterdays photo that I had to go out and get more shots of flowers. The only difference with today was that I decided to shoot in the front garden. According to my Mother, who is a self-made expert in horticulture, the flower is just plain old heather.
Like yesterday, I love how close I can get before the camera starts to lose focus. While the lens may be stock, it’s put together quite well and will make do until I can get my hands on a proper macro lens.
The thing I love most about the photo is the beautiful pink colours, which make the flower look much more exotic than its name would suggest. I followed the same routine when I brought the image into Photoshop and it is not edited in any way.
